Job Description has been retained by a West Coast based Global company to find their top security executive for a newly created role that has a slightly different corporate title but is essentially a Global Security Executive. This converged security role has responsibility for Information Security, Physical Security, Facilities Management, Technology and Physical Risk Management and Business Continuity. Our client is in a high growth mode and currently sits well above $7 Billion in annual revenues and employs nearly 150,000 people worldwide. In this role, you will lead the development of global strategies related to services and security of human, technology and physical assets. You'll be responsible for the following: Developing strategic programs and goals that align with senior executives. Developing annual operating plans and budgets for Facilities, Information Security, Business Continuity and Asset Protection. Setting direction for a team which requires alignment and a common focus. Developing and ensuring that strategic initiatives for the department enhance the connection with partners, customer communities and shareholders. Partner with other executives to forecast and create innovative plans for facilities around the world to support the company's growth while balancing and mitigating risk. Ensuring that partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements around the world. Providing coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.

Job Requirements

Requires 10+ years progressive leadership experience developing global strategies to protect, human, physical and information technology assets around the world utilizing a risk based approach. Appropriate candidates will have the following background experiences and characteristics: Information Security, Physical Security, Asset Protection and Business Continuity experience in a global company with multi-unit operations. Demonstration of capability to consult with senior leaders in the design, development and execution of a global strategy that integrates all areas of Facilities, Physical Security, Business Continuity, Information Security, Employee and Asset Protection, Supply Chain Security, Technology and Physical Risk Management and Protection of Brand and Corporate Reputation. Executing complex multi-year projects. Leading large cross-functional teams within a global company. Consulting with senior level executives to develop a global security strategy. Organizational Savvy.exceptionally strong board room savvy verbal and written communication skills. Results orientation.ability to build effective relationships, make timely decisions, work with ambiguity, understand global requirements, get results and achieve goals. Background securing a multi-unit organization that has revenues in excess of $5 Billion. Experience managing direct reports in the 6-10 range and indirect responsibility for 50 or more people. Strong financial skills to manage expenses in excess of $50M Involvement in industry groups such as ASIS, Infraguard, ISC2, SANS Education at the Masters level and certifications such as: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), etc. This is an abbreviated description.
