Join a fast growing SecurityRecruiter.com client as a Principal Consultant where you'll guide their clients in the development of secure software and secure web application development. The Principal Consultant will assist clients in the application of our client's process improvement methodologies, software quality techniques, software process improvement techniques and software security. This role is responsible for assisting with the execution and delivery of planned project deliverables and milestones that assist clients in learning, understanding and applying software security methodologies. The Principal Consultant provides client support from account planning through sales, delivery, execution and customer satisfaction cycle. A Principal Consultant is an expert / authority in the domain of software security, will be published and will engage in speaking at conferences. A Principal Consultant will provide though leadership as a subject matter expert to their group. They will provide guidance and will mentor employees in technical skills. The Principal Consultant oversees the accuracy, completeness and compliance of project deliverables. The Principal Consultant has revenue responsibility in the range of $1-1.5 million and is expected to be approximately 50% billable on projects. When not working at the client site, this is a virtual position where work can be done from home. Residence in New York City or a location commutable to New York City is required.
Requires a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or Software Engineering. A Masters degree and CISSP certification are preferred along with certifications in Java and/or .Net to demonstrate subject matter expertise. Publications (white papers, books, etc.) are preferred. A Principal Consultant must demonstrate significant SDLC experience (7+ years) developing, deploying and maintaining software systems where applying security activities within the SDLC was a normal practice. Must demonstrate experience with software design, risk analysis, application security architectures and software security. Must demonstrate experience in a wide number of operational environments where a variety of technologies such as C++, Java, J2EE, XML, UML, .Net, C#, SOA, WebServices RDBMS, Websphere, Smartcards and related technologies where utilized. . Must demonstrate 5-10 years of consulting experience working with security process improvement and quality assurance related projects. Verbal skills, written skills and project management skills must be strong. US Citizenship is required as is a willingness to travel.
